Stephanie, a seasoned Registered Early Childhood Educator and adept English as a Second Language Instructor, boasts an impressive 25-year teaching career. Since settling in Ottawa, she has contributed as an occasional RECE with the Ottawa Catholic School Board for the past 5 years, demonstrating her enduring commitment to the field.

With unwavering dedication to safety, Stephanie has upheld First Aid and CPR certification throughout her professional journey. Notably, she holds certification with High Five, Canada’s esteemed quality standard for children’s recreation and sport, which revolutionized program quality and ensured enduring positive experiences for children.

Having spent nine enriching years teaching abroad in Asia, Stephanie has accumulated a wealth of diverse experiences and successfully engaged with varied populations throughout her career. Beyond her professional endeavors, Stephanie generously volunteers as a Girl Guide Leader and actively participates in the local community.

When not occupied with booking courses, training instructors, and nurturing young minds, Stephanie indulges her passion for travel, exploring the world with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Barb serves as an Educational Assistant in a Life Skills Small Class in Renfrew. With a tenure dating back to 1998, she has been dedicated to supporting students as an Educational Assistant with the Renfrew County District School Board. Barb is certified in Standard First Aid/CPR and finds joy in empowering children of all ages to reach their full potential. She takes pride in fostering their confidence and encouraging them to embrace new challenges beyond their comfort zones.

Jahzara, currently in her second year at the University of Laurier, is pursuing a dual degree in Geography and Business. With a lifelong passion for working with children, she began mentoring primary students at a young age and remains committed to this role. Additionally, Jahzara has shared her talents as a dance and cheerleading instructor in professional settings. In her free time, she dedicates herself to tutoring elementary school students. Fluent in both English and French, Jahzara holds certifications in CPR and First-Aid, ensuring she is equipped to assist in emergencies.

Candice proudly serves as a PM Core ECE in a Kindergarten classroom, leveraging her role as a registered early childhood educator (RECE). Her journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Queen’s University, followed by the completion of her ECE Diploma at Algonquin College. Certified in Standard First Aid/CPR-C, she finds joy in nurturing children’s problem-solving abilities, fostering self-regulation, and building confidence.

Linda, an esteemed member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), holds specialization in primary/junior education alongside an additional qualification in special education. Certified in Standard First Aid/CPR-C, she brings a holistic approach to teaching. Currently, Linda dedicates her full-time efforts to educating students within the Waterloo Region District School Board. She derives immense satisfaction from fostering children’s learning journey, nurturing their confidence, empathy, and problem-solving skills along the way.

Pavthra

Pavthra is an OCT-certified primary/junior teacher and graduate of Brock University’s Concurrent Education program, serves as an occasional teacher at York Region District School and holds a position as Member at Large with Durham District School Board. Previously, Pavthra worked as a child/youth worker with the District School Board of Niagara, City of St. Catharines, and the Boys and Girls Club. She has furthered her expertise through completion of several Additional Qualification courses, including Special Education, Teaching English Language Learners, and Equitable Inclusive Schools. Currently, Pavthra is pursuing a part-time Master’s program at OISE in Education, she is certified in Standard First Aid/CPR-C.

Kate is a devoted wife and mother of three boys, brings over twenty years of experience working with children across diverse environments. Possessing a 3-year Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning, and Development, I am certified as a Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader, with expertise in First Aid CPR/AED Level C and Anaphylaxis management in Childcare Settings. Presently, I fulfill the role of an EA for the OCSB, having previously thrived as a nursery nurse, classroom assistant, and daycare owner.

Beyond traditional teaching, Fiona extends her expertise as an educational therapist, with a special focus on children on the autism spectrum and those with Down Syndrome.
