Stephanie, a seasoned Registered Early Childhood Educator and adept English as a Second Language Instructor, boasts an impressive 25-year teaching career. Since settling in Ottawa, she has contributed as an occasional RECE with the Ottawa Catholic School Board for the past 5 years, demonstrating her enduring commitment to the field.

With unwavering dedication to safety, Stephanie has upheld First Aid and CPR certification throughout her professional journey. Notably, she holds certification with High Five, Canada’s esteemed quality standard for children’s recreation and sport, which revolutionized program quality and ensured enduring positive experiences for children.

Having spent nine enriching years teaching abroad in Asia, Stephanie has accumulated a wealth of diverse experiences and successfully engaged with varied populations throughout her career. Beyond her professional endeavors, Stephanie generously volunteers as a Girl Guide Leader and actively participates in the local community.

When not occupied with booking courses, training instructors, and nurturing young minds, Stephanie indulges her passion for travel, exploring the world with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Barb serves as an Educational Assistant in a Life Skills Small Class in Renfrew. With a tenure dating back to 1998, she has been dedicated to supporting students as an Educational Assistant with the Renfrew County District School Board. Barb is certified in Standard First Aid/CPR and finds joy in empowering children of all ages to reach their full potential. She takes pride in fostering their confidence and encouraging them to embrace new challenges beyond their comfort zones.

Fadumo, a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), specializes in primary/junior education. With a Bachelor’s degree and certification in Standard First Aid/CPR-C, she currently serves as an occasional teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Fadumo is recognized as an engaging educator who prioritizes supporting and empowering young learners in areas such as wellbeing, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills.

Jahzara, currently in her second year at the University of Laurier, is pursuing a dual degree in Geography and Business. With a lifelong passion for working with children, she began mentoring primary students at a young age and remains committed to this role. Additionally, Jahzara has shared her talents as a dance and cheerleading instructor in professional settings. In her free time, she dedicates herself to tutoring elementary school students. Jahzara holds certifications in CPR and First-Aid, ensuring she is equipped to assist in emergencies.

Rashi is known for her engaging, student-focused approach, using creative methods such as storytelling, hands-on activities, and experiential learning to encourage confidence, communication, and a love of learning in children through structured and nurturing instruction.

Sarah is a retired teacher with 30 years of experience, including teaching English as a Second Language in Japan and Kindergarten through Grade 8 with the OCDSB. She is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported as they develop the knowledge, confidence, and responsibility to stay safe and make smart decisions.

Sarah holds a Specialist in Special Education and uses inclusive teaching practices to ensure all students can actively participate and build the skills to confidently handle everyday situations, respond appropriately to unexpected events, and feel prepared when home on their own. She is certified in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C.

Aimee also draws on her experience as a homestay host mom and her background in mental health to support children’s independence and emotional growth.

Talia is entering her second year of the Honours of Arts in Psychology program at Carleton University. She brings valuable experience working with child through City of Ottawa programs, summer camps , and theatre classes. Outside of her studies, Talia is a talented performer who has taken on lead roles in several theatre productions. She is also a dedicated athlete, playing ringette with the Nepean Ravens and participating on Carleton University’s cheerleading team. As a member of our support staff, Talia will assist instructors in larger classes and help ensure students remain safe, supported, and engaged throughout the day.

Fiona is a distinguished member of the Ontario College of Teachers, boasting a rich educational journey spanning over two decades. Her diverse roles include serving as a Primary school teacher, a versatile supply teacher, and an esteemed Roots of Empathy instructor. Holding a degree in Psychology from Carleton University, she furthered her academic pursuits with a Bachelor of Education and a Degree in Early Education.

Beyond traditional teaching, Fiona extends her expertise as an educational therapist, with a special focus on children on the autism spectrum and those with Down Syndrome. Additionally, she holds certifications in Standard First Aid/CPR-C, ensuring the safety and well-being of those under her care.

Leah brings a thoughtful and reflective approach to the classroom, grounded in equity, relationship-building, and student wellbeing. She also holds Standard First Aid & CPR certification.

Marissa is a student with a passion for working with children and hope to pursue a career in pediatrics and child education. She has experience working with children through tutoring, babysitting, leading summer camps, and junior coaching in Ringette. These experiences have helped her develop strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while creating fun, supportive environments for children to learn and grow.

Marissa is an additional support staff in busier classes, providing an extra set of hands and eyes to enhance safety, supervision and engagement.

Natara has just completed her third year of a Concurrent Education degree in Child and Family Studies. Over the past two years, she’s gained valuable experience working with children at Tiny Hoppers Daycare, as well as in roles as a camp counsellor with the City and in an after-school care program. Natara plays on her University’s Ringette team as a goalie.

As a member of our Support Staff; she brings a supportive and attentive presence to any environment, offering an extra set of hands and eyes to help ensure children’s safety, engagement, and overall well-being.
