Stephanie Belsher

President - My Safe Life/Home Alone Safety for Kids/Babysitting Course/Safety for Independent Living Intsructor

Stephanie Belsher is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and English as a Second Language Instructor with over 15 years experience teaching. She has been First/Aid and CPR certified throughout her career.

Stephanie is also certified with High Five,HIGH FIVE® is Canada's quality standard for children's recreation and sport. Before HIGH FIVE, no standard existed and there was a clear need for an innovative approach to help organizations enhance program quality and provide positive experiences for children, which would remain with them for a lifetime. With 9 years teaching abroad in Asia, Stephanie brings a lot of unique experiences and has worked with a variety of diverse populations.

Stephanie is a certified training partner of SOS4KIDS to deliver Home Alone Safety for Kids and My Safe Life they are a partner of Safety on Site www.sosfirstaid.ca which is a training partner of Red Cross.

Sherece is a 4th year student studying at McGill University to be a Kindergarten and Elementary teacher. She has a passion for working with children and a variety of experience teaching individuals in non-profit organizations. Sherece is fluent in French and English. My Safe Life/Home Alone Safety for Kids/Babysitting Course Facilitator

Jessica is a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), specializing in primary/junior education. She has an Honours degree in Developmental Psychology and is First Aid and CPR certified. Currently, Jessica is working as a live-in nanny for a family of five children. In combination with her formal education and prior experience, the position as course facilitator for Safety Tree allows Jessica an opportunity to pursue her passion for teaching and working alongside children.

Home Alone Safety for Kids/Babysitting Course Facilitator

Lauren is a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) with a focus on Primary/Junior Education and a 3 part specialization in Special Education. She has a degree in Developmental Psychology and is First Aid and CPR certified. Lauren is currently working as a supply teacher for the Ottawa Carleton District School board (OCDSB), having previously taught Grade 1 and Senior Kindergarten for 2 years in England.

Home Alone Safety for Kids/My Safe Life Facilitator

Cynthia enrolled her daughter in the Home Alone Safety for Kids Course with Safety Tree and was so impressed with the program that she decided to become an instructor. She has over 20 years experience as a certified Early Childhood Educator and graduated from Vanier College and is up to date with CPR and First Aid training. She is also a Laughter Yoga Instructor and loves to participate in Obstacle Races in her free time.

Colleen is a Developmental Services Worker for the school baord and has 20yrs of experience in classrooms, workshops and group home settings. She has been certified in First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention and Behaviour Management Systems throughout her career.

Home Alone Safety for Kids and Red Cross Babysitting Course Facilitator

Heather is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, with a focus on primary/junior/intermediate education. She has a degree in Physical and Health Education and is First Aid and High Five certified. She has been teaching for 5 years and spent 2 of those years overseas in Kuwait at the Canadian Bilingual School. Heather is currently an occasional teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board and enjoys sharing her passion for learning with the young people in her classroom.

Home Alone Safety for Kids and Red Cross Babysitting Course Facilitator

Sara is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is an Occasional Teacher with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. Aside from formal teaching, Sara has also been a volunteer youth leader through her church for a number of years and has organized and facilitated overnight camps, conferences, and monthly activities, as well as prepared and presented workshops and multi-media presentations for up to eight hundred youth, on various topics. Sara is First Aid and CPR Certified.

Red Cross Babysitting Course Facilitator

Alex is a student at the University of Guelph studying Animal Biology. She works as a Head Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the University of Guelph pool, a Client Services representative at the University of Guelph Athletic Centre, and is a swim coach with the Guelph Marlin Aquatic Club. She has been First aid and CPR certified for 8 years, is certified in High Five, and is a current Emergency and Standard First Aid instructor through the Lifesaving Society.

My Safe Life/Home Alone Safety for Kids/Babysitting Course Facilitator

Amanda is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, with a focus on primary/junior education. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science: Child, Youth and Family Development and is also a certified Early Childhood Educator. She has a lot of previous experience running recreational programs for children and youth, worked as a tutor in the classroom, as well as previous placement work at KidsAbility. She has worked for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board for 3 years as a Designated Early Childhood Educator and now is pursuing her passion to teach on their Occasional Teacher supply list. She has been certified for First Aid/CPR as well as High Five throughout her career.

Home Alone Safety for Kids Facilitator

Shannon is a Toronto Police officer currently working in the Cyber Crime Unit
She has been a police officer for over 13 years and has worked in Youth Crimes and Sexual Assault units. As an instrutor teaching Home Alone Safety for Kids  she can share her knowledge and background to raise awareness of dangers and prepare safety strategies for children to stay at home safely.  She has been certified in First aid and CPR throughout her career.
